The News About Dead Like Me and Dead Like Me: Life After Death Movie

Dead Like Me Movie Site Deservers More!

The news on this site has been very slow lately – and it’s not because the Dead Like Me World is, err, “dead” – it’s the fact I just haven’t had time to keep the site updated with how the movie is doing,  DVD release dates, or any other news the fans deserve to read. I’m very sorry! :-(

I’m also sorry I haven’t been posting in the forum – I read it everyday, but just never seem to get the time to post. – Sorry again!!

So…

I’m looking for some TRUE Dead Like Me Fans. People who love the show – and have time to talk about it. I need a few people who can run the site, keep it updated with news, stories, and anything else that takes your fancy (Dead Like Me related of course!)

If you would like to become a write for the site, the requirements are:

  • You can write. (And can do it often)
  • You know how to use Word Press. (Very important!)
  • You read entertainment site, forums, etc, where you can find hot news about Dead Like Me.
  • – It would be nice if you talked in the forum too ;-)

It’s a big requests lists I know! And here comes the real slap in the face – it’s unpaid. There are no Ads on this site. I don’t get paid. It’s just a fan site, and if you are a fan, and you want people to read your thoughts this is the place to do it. Check Google – this site is on Page 1 for “Dead Like Me”, “Dead Like Me Movie”, “Dead Like Me Forum”, “Dead Like Me News”, etc, etc. Basically, people come here for the news – and you could be the guy/gal who gives that news. Like a Dead Like Me Anchorman!

So you get the fact people are actually reading what you write – and you also get a YOURNAME@deadlikememovie.com email address.

Don’t all rush at once to request an account! Lol

Seriously, please, if you want to help out – post in comments below :-)

Regards,

Layoffs And Firings At MGM

UPDATE: Alex Ankales, a director of development in the straight to video feature division was one of the people let go.

EXCLUSIVE: MGM/UA thought they could do this without any announcements. But I’ve confirmed that about 3% to 4% of the studio’s total employment was “restructured” today and “a small number” of people lost their jobs. But when the studio was working with a skeleton staff to begin with, those layoffs and firings become more significant to operations. I’m told that the studio’s fiscal year ended yesterday, on March 31st, so today a lot of people’s contracts ended and some didn’t get renewed, especially in the television and distribution departments. Also, in-house flack Jeff Pryor was demoted to outside consultant (I say rightfully so because he was beyond useless). He won’t deal with movies and corporate anymore, just handle TV and digital. As for the studio’s fiscal future, I don’t know how MGM/UA stays afloat, I really don’t.

Is this going to stop any chance of seeing another Dead Like Me Movie???
