On the 9th Day of….
9 Days To Go!
I still cannot really believe it’s been 5 years since Dead Like Me left our screens. I remember when I found out it was cancelled. Searching the different sites to see if it was true. Then the months (years?) of trying to “Bring Back Dead Like Me”. The emails, the letters. Yes, maybe it was a bit too much for a TV show — but a lot of us fell in love with it. These guys who dressed as reapers and protested to bring the show back are true fans!

How many of you signed the “Dead Like Me” petition? I’m guessing a lot, as it reached 69672 signatures. How many of you personally blamed the shows creator Bryan Fuller or the president of MGM Robert Greenblatt or even Showtime for the “death” of Dead Like Me??? I know I did!
(Were they to blame? Who knows, probably not
)
Do any of you have any stories to share about what you did when you found out the show was cancelled?

Yes the movie is coming out ‘Officially’ in a few days. ‘Unofficially’ you can find it online already so people have already seen it. I would suggest staying legal and showing your support by purchasing the movie… but to each there own.

I’ve seen several torrents online, and it’s very dissapointing. Theres so many fans, but so little are going to actually buy it.
Although I could watch the DLM movie right now, I think I’m going to wait and buy it. I really want to show my support of the show!

I’ve seen the movie after downloading it, only because I really really wanted to see it asap. Anybody who liked the show will (in my opinion) love the movie, I know I did. And now that I saw the movie, I’m going out to buy the movie so I can watch it over and over, I absolutely LOVED the movie, GO BUY IT!!!

I’m actually a new fan, only watching it for the first time on the day when they played it for the first time on SciFi. I remember seeing it and thinking it was a movie! XD I actually complained when I figured out it wasn’t. I remember IMing my friend saying: “A movie I actually like a LOT and it’s a frigging show. . . Does this mean I have to watch it every darned week?”
I ended up watching it every week. Every week until the end of the first season. At the end of it, I got the gift of both seasons but I still watched every week. It was a bit of a ritual. At the end of the 2nd season, I kept waiting for a new episode. . but none came. I actually cried when I realized that the 2nd season was it! xD
