A Third Path Opens
The cold hard reality for the lenders to MGM may be sinking in, but this could be good for fans of Dead Like Me who would like to see the franchise resurrected in some form or another. The article quoted inside basically says that key lenders are coming to the conclusion that their best pathway out may be to hold a garage sale for MGM assets – selling them off in pieces. The spotlight will be on the big stuff, but for interested parties this will be an opportunity to step in to buy just the DLM franchise and go forward.

Reapers don’t age, but actors do.
Probably no way that the old DLM can be resurrected, but I have heard there is at least one group with money that would like to try and spin something off the original – maybe have a few of the old characters appear to give a push to some new reapers in a new situation.

They really need to give this show another shot. It was well on its way to being a great show with all sort of crazy wonderful storylines that were just beginning, and the movie didn’t do it justice. They need to find a way to bring Rube back, get as many of the original people back, make sure they have George, and start anew, continuing with the gravelings mystery. This is my number one show to bring back.

I also did not see this show until sometime last year. What a refreshing, different concept, well-cast and directed–not just another cop or lawyer show! (How many of those will they continue to make?) And certainly not one of those stock cast “reality shows”. I am so sick of the lack of imagination and effort of today’s “creative minds” in television. All I can say is that I’ve certainly read a lot of books in the last several years. Bring this one back!
