Dead Like Me Movie Trailer
Here’s a little Christmas present for all you Dead Like Me fans (those who haven’t seen it already) – a Dead Like Me Movie Trailer!
Despite the film not being released until Summer 08 – a cool trailer (that features all the regular characters, and even includes Henry Ian Cusick’s new character)
The trailer has been available on the net since the 8th of December, and is getting mixed results from fans.
Why not have a look, and have your say…

*** Reggie!! The years really show on her.

“theres nothing passive with my aggresion”. I like that scene. There are few shows on TV that spark my interest and this is one of them, unfortunetely the local station thats airing the re-runs interupts some good parts with commercial breaks. So i am purchasing the series on DVD. And will be on the look out for the movie when it hits the shelves. As far as i seen from this trailer, its gonna be good. Nice choice of clips and good narration from Ms. Muth herself. Can’t wait until the release. Maybe a future revival of the show itself? oh, and btw, Mason with a chainsaw. Could it be a reapers chainsaw massacre, we’ll find out.

I really can’t wait to see this. Dead like me ended way too soon, and I hope this does lead to another season.
The trailer looks very interesting..

I never had heard about dead like me before, as I watch broadcast. I only just saw the DLM pilot on broadcast tv two weeks ago, and was hooked after only 2 minutes. Realizing there was no way I was gonna wait for the show piecemeal, I bought the complete 2 season’s worth of shows on dvd (something I have never considered for any other tv show) and realized how much is lost in the broadcast version. I eagerly await the movie, and truly hope the best tv show I have ever seen will be resurrected, complete with the entire original cast. That and only that, would sway me to getting showtime, or whatever station would be hosting a new DLM series.

Like Dan I also caught wind of this show in the last two weeks. Got the rest of the series right away. Now I can’t wait for the movie as well. It’s a shame that i did not enjoy this series when it was around. If it does manage to get brought back I may consider getting cable just to watch it.

Looking forward to this coming out. Yes, a few characters are gone, but the show looks just as good as it ever did, at least to me. Crossing fingers for good DVD sales to lead to a return to weekly series status…

The series was one of the best and I can’t believe that it was cancelled based on what else is out there. Can’t wait for the movie.
Georges narration sounded very different in the clip but it is only a clip.
Losing Rube will be a big one, Mandy is one of the best in the biz.
I really liked the Daisy Adair character as played by Laura Harris (although her character in The Women’s Murder Club is no where as strong).
Know nothing of Sarah Wynter but why saddle her with trying to be a character stamped quite nicely by Laura?
Why not plug her into a new reaper character (she could be similar to Daisy) as was done when they brought in Laura Harris. I also liked the the character Daisy replaced but liked the Daisy character better. I fear that for fans of the show watching someone else be Daisy it will dilute the performance, good bad or indifferent, so Sarah is starting out in a hole.
I hope they don’t try to soften the Mason character.
The clip seems to hint at Reggie and her mom having a key part in the movie which I think could be a good thing again as long as they don’t take the edges off their characters. Obviously Reggie is older which is fine but please don’t take the Reggie quirks out of Reggie and don’t try to make the mom too soft.

Oh forgot to add that the Roxy, Mason and Delores Herbig characters were a must because the show would be a shell of itself without them!

That is so very true

I’m sad to see rube go, but if it had to be done I’m happy with who they picked to replace him with. Desmond is probably my favorite character on Lost.
As for Daisy, I agree with some of the others. I think it would be better to just have a new character. I would imagine that Daisy’s character contains some of Laura Harris’s personality, so it would be hard to see someone else in her role. That being said, I’m very glad to have dead like me back.
Does anyone know if the same person that did the music for the series is involved in the movie?

Holy crapola on a stick, awesome!!! Only stuff that makes me kinda iffy is George, seems kinda really different (and was that her narrating????). I’m okay with Rube gone, he kinda became stingy in the last episode anyway and plus, Desmond is my hero (Losties will flock to DLM like never before!!!). New Daisy is not Old Daisy but as long as she doesn’t have too many lines I’ll be happy. And thank god Mason is there.
I just hope they clear up some logistical stuff that I’m still REALLY confused about but at the same time, I really just want my crew back. Whatever…. Well, as a new fan of the series, I’m happy to see it. Sorry for those who had to wait so long but for me it’ll be like the show never went away.

It was another person doing the voice over for Georgia. It’s not a final cut of the trailer yet.

I love DLM. I just found out today that there was going to be a movie, and i can’t wait to see it. Hopefully if the DVD sales are good they will bring back the series. Well I’m hopeing for the best.

The trailer looks great, being new to the series, just picked them all up on DVD, I can say it’s nice to see the idea back in any form and lets just hope the DVD Movie is a success when it’s released.

Looks awesome! Have both seasons on DVD, and I’ve finished those already. Can’t wait for the movie!

Where is Der Waffle Haus?! It wouldn’t be the same without it!
April 1st, 2008 at 1:00 pm
Does “George’s” voice sound much smoother as the narrator, because it’s not a final cut of the trailer, or because is Reggie’s voice? (= Reggie will become a grim reaper too).

Do you really think this is new thing? Your blog is really good to me, I read it to get useful info, but sometimes I’m bored to tears.

Your previous posts were real rubbish, but this is good. This one is brilliant. Your blog is getting really better.

The trailer looks very fantastic! THANK GOODNESS they didn’t soften Roxie’s character. I loved Jasmine Guy in this role. I hope Mason is still crazy and lovable.
I preferred Betty to Daisy (not that she wasn’t interesting) and wish that instead of recasting that role they brought Betty back to tell of the tales she experienced piggybacking. I think that that would’ve been much more interesting storyline. They could’ve had her tell stories of “encountering” Rube through her travels. That would’ve kept him in the storyline for flashbacks since he is no longer on Criminal Minds. Who knows….perhaps he left there do DLM Series.
