MGM Creditors Press for an Auction
Information from a series of recent meetings between Cooper at MGM and the 140 strong creditors has leaked. Cooper made a pitch for new debt to jumpstart MGM movie production, and the creditors declined the honor and opportunity to lose even more money. Instead they made it clear they want the studio and its 4,000 film library (this would include Dead Like Me franchise) to be sold either now by MGM or by the creditors from bankruptcy. The current agreement in which interest owed to the creditors is converted to equity expires on December 15th.

just wanted to make a quick post about my thoughts about a resurrection of THE DEAD! (haha = not that good i know) anyways, i think this show would do great on a network like FX and would get much more exposure or like USA network where it gets broader exposure – obviously with USA they would have to tone down the language, they wouldn’t have to with FX i don’t think, not with some of the shows i have seen come out of that network, and i think it would be a bigger hit than ever. showtime is just not a broadbase audience and most shows that seem to do well there are just filled with gratuitous sex it seems, which this is not – it is just filled with a great cast and great, clever dialogue – something rare it seems these days – great chemistry, banter, comedy, cleverness, fun, originality and all without having to resort to sex and affairs and who screwed or killed who to keep you glued to the screen like you do on almost any network even the regular major networks. the world is reallky missing out on this franchise. i would be willing to do whatever you need me to to help get the word out – get this on twitter, facebook, try and get it noticed on ellen, and some other shows – come on guys = this is better than smallville imho.

oh, and i prefer reading usually to watching tv, or maybe watching movies or the history channel or national geographic (if and when i do watch tv) and i got hooked watching this on netflix after i found it was cancelled and i was so upset!!! i thought i would try it because i like mandy and was sad to see he left criminal minds and liked that show a little and watched it occasionally (don’t really like it without him, though). just such a great crew on DLM. never seen anything like it!
