I would also love to see a new season of Dead Like Me. I didn’t discover the show until this year when a local station started playing the 2 seasons. I believe this was in direct relation to the new movie coming out. I absolutely love the show. All the humor and the serious things that really makes you think about your own life.
I do believe that a TV series is what we need back. I would hate to be strung out one movie at a time.
If nothing else, I wish the original writers would write like a novel series of continuing stories where Season 2 left off. I want to know what happened in between then and the new movie. I would enjoy reading the episodes almost as much as watching the TV series.
I hope there is still a strong fan base out there. How many others would like to see the series back on TV???? Maybe on a non-premium channel???
By the way, I loved the movie. I know that there were a lot of changes, and people just have to understand that. It’s been like 5 years in between. But I do have to say that I really missed Rube and there are so many stories behind all the characters that were left unexplained from the first to seasons. We just need more seasons!!!! Who’s with me???

It would be nice if Dead Like Me was brought back, but it’s been a while since it was cancelled and replaced with the usual brain numbing reality shows and sports, it’s clearly too advanced a concept for those who have trouble watching anything that isn’t the usual boredom.
I’m hoping the movie gets released over here in the UK, it sounds like a good laugh and it has to be better than what’s on TV these days.

Oh please please please bring it back! I am so sick and tired of reality TV and brainless “tween” sitcoms! I only discovered it as the result of a suggestion from a friend, but was hooked after the first few minutes of the pilot! I love the dry quirky humor. I haven’t seen it aired here in Australia at all, so I’m suggesting it as an option to EVERYONE, if you can find it, get it!
Although I liked the movie, I also wouldn’t mind a flash back episode or two, to fill up the gaps between the end of series 2 and the movie, I did appreciate the change of Un George (no offence to fans – but the previous actor Laura Boddington kinda gave me the creeps) though not the change of Daisy Adair – the new one was much too old, but as she wasn’t in it too much I wasn’t that fussed after a while. I really missed Rube, I know he would need to move on after a while, but the lack of explanation bugged me, I love Mandy Patinkin’s style – he’s just awesome.
anyway “i gotta go make a sissy” he he he

I love “Dead Like Me” the comedy, the characters, the actors it all played together so well. I think everyone can connect to one of the characters in their own way. It’s a nice break from reality and in its way the show hits a nerve with people from time to time. I would love to see the show come back with the original actors/actresses. I do not think it would be the same without the same cast. The movie was good but the replacement for Daisy, no offense, just was not the same.

I had never seen this program until I saw it on hulu just this year. I was intoxicated by the humor and the imagination of the writer(s) of this show, and watched the whole first and second season in 2 weeks time and felt really let down when there was no more left io see. Please tell me there will be more movies or that the program will be back on tv.

Unlike most of you, I am 62 years old. And, I ABSOLUTELY love ‘Dead Like Me’! So the fan realm, of ‘Dead Like Me’ lovers, spans a wide range of age groups. I, too, hope we have not seen the last of this unique, fun, thought provoking T.V. show! All the characters ROCK in their roles. Great character choices!!!
With my fingers crossed, as well, that we shall be entertained by such characters for a long time to come! ……………Karen

I actually happened to stumble upon the movie first and then noticed that there was a series (thank you netflix!). So I guess I got started backwards and because so, I didn’t really feel a strong loss when rube was gone as well as all the other stuff as well. I really enjoyed the movie though and when I started watching the tv series I kinda fell in love with it. But then today I found out that it was canceled and I can’t help but be upset. I hope they put it back on air, I’d definitely buy the seasons when they came out on DVD. Maybe with the recent release of the movie, there will be a renewed spark and they’ll start another season or something, maybe. I sure hope so.

I’m from England & I hope they make another series. I find the dark profane humor very funny.

It is a well known fact that quality series are always cut short.
bring back ‘Dead Like Me (two seasons)
+ the greatest television series ever cancelled after 14 episodes (and one phenomenal film!) ‘Firefly’.

This has to be the best tv show ever…

I’d LOVE to ee more DLM…but since it was a great show I doubt that will ever happen. I’m so ired of networks trashing the few decent works hat come out of their studios and keeping the crap shows around forever.
So, I have cancelled my showtime service and will also boycott MGM products. I’m really tired of having mindless crap shows be the only option.
…oh yah, and maybe MGM should look at their financial stuation as a result of heir dumbass practices in regards to their programming

I fell in love with DLM on Sci fi channel, and I’ve since watched the series on hulu, and I would love to see this come back. The same happened to me with Firefly. I saw them and thought “Wow, I love these shows!” only to look them up on Wikipedia and realize they were dead.

I would LOVE for there to be more of Dead Like Me…it was an AMAZING show…it’s so frustrating that shows like this one almost never last long. People just aren’t interested in these kinds of shows. Television today is so UNBELIEVABLY predictable. All the stories are virtually the same, when new things like Dead Like Me come out with original ideas and fascinating stories and characters. Its depressing to learn that not as many people as you would think are interested in watching them.
What made this show so great is that it was real in a fictional sort of way, I know that sounds weird, but the characters weren’t what you would normally find on television today. George wasn’t exactly your average lead character, but you learned to love her anyways throughout the show. Everyone involved was not what you expected them to be. It was tragic and comical all at the same time.
They need to make MORE shows like this one rather then canceling them and reducing television to the constant fantasy that people believe to be the ‘real world’. Oh please…does ANYONE here have the perfect family? I don’t think so…..people are screwed up…end of story. All of those perky, perfect, beautiful, and endlessly happy families are completely full of crap.
Oh and those infuriating shows that are chalked full of drama that never ends are also complete insanity. Seriously? How can there be SOOO MUCH DRAMA ALL THE TIME! UGH! Can’t stand it…sorry might just be my personal opinion but I hate it. All I can say is, I have enough problems in my own life…why the hell would I want to load up on some fictional characters drama as well?
Hope no one was offended.
